The lag on the THETA X live stream is eliminated in my tests.

Thanks craig for helping us out on this. I report some of my findings:

  • switching off the topbottom correction works on the theta X with the new firmware.
  • for comparison’s sake, with topbottom correction off, I no longer observe the gyro lag issue for firmware 2.0.0, but I do observe it for 1.4.0 (we have 2 theta X devices now)
  • unfortunately, the ptp property 0xd825 only seem to refer to image capture topbottom correction.

Thanks for reporting back. I’ve recently learned that the firmware 2.0.0 fixes the live stream latency (gyro lag) even when top/bottom correction is enabled on the USB stream.
