Exporting 4 Audio Tracks from RICOH THETA V

Passing on a question from a friend. Is there a way to export the THETA V mic tracks to 4 files?

“Basically on the app side of things I take each track as mono and let the Apple Spatial Api do its magic. My use case is audio recording, not necessarily a final 360 video with Spatial Audio.”

You will need to use the “Ricoh Theta Movie Converter” app.
Run the .mp4 file with the converter app and a new .mov file will be created containing a file with 4 audio channels.

Unfortunately, the converter app is one file at a time. But the resulting file can be imported into your NLE and have the 4 audio channels be recognized.

You can use Audacity to import and open just the audio files from the new .mov file.
