When Ricoh Theta V is connected to Ubuntu via USB in Live mode, it is recognized as a USB device when you type the command $lsusb, but $v4l2-ctl --list When you type the command -devices, it is not recognized as a camera device, so you cannot take pictures. If you want to show the THETA as a device, you need to run v4l2loopback.

This may also be an alternative to v4l2loopback and libuvc-theta-sample.
