Non-Incremental File Names in THETA SC

Noticing this is Reddit today from user @asktoby, asking about file naming conventions in RICOH THETA SC. Cross-posting here:

What’s the rationale behind the Theta SC’s random file naming? My photos get names like: JPEU5935.jpg, GMBM7064.jpg, XDOE2360.jpg. It makes it hard to sort them. Is there any way to name them incrementally like DSCF001.jpg.

To bad actuarily
it is the same thing with apple mobile devices
filenames are rather encrypted, but on the device it is well categorized.

Ricoh has to make a software that import and categorize via the Exif Photo data

Imported to Dropbox in Camera Uploads it will be renamed and get a date and time
