Using AI Video Generation
The rise of new AI models and integration in business sectors across the market prompted us to explore the capabilities of AI in small-scale testing. Building off a previous conversation, this article discusses the potential of AI in targeted business areas for 360-degree cameras or partnering companies.Potential Business Areas: Car Sales, Construction, Real Estate, Company Vision
We used OpenAI Plus with the Sora AI to produce the AI-generated videos.
Car Sales Sector
We prompted Sora to create promotional shots of a specified vehicle (ex: Black chevrolet silverado 1500 LT year 2025).
-
First Test: The AI was unable to accurately identify the car model from a specific VIN and showed a generic Chevrolet car as shown here.
-
Second Test: Specifying the model as the description with year, color, and make produced a more accurate video of the vehicle as shown here.
Construction Sector
Another idea is to use AI to create aerial views of construction sites for safety, inspection, or management concepts. However, through our testing, we found that Sora is currently unable to create videos for specific addresses, instead it produces a more general background. An idea could be to use another AI model to generate a textual description given an address and feed that into the Sora AI. Currently, Sora AI doesn’t have an API for development, but this could be a potential project for the future.
- First Test: WIth prompt “flying through construction site, showing work being done, building a large beautiful house in the country, 23 Olive Rd, Sandia Park, NM 87047” the AI generates a generic construction site in New Mexico.
Real Estate Sector
We also tested if Sora can be used to create virtual tours for real estate companies. Here, we attempted to feed Sora specific images of interior shots of various properties. However, these prompts were the least accurate at producing content.
- First Test: Prompted Sora to create a virtual tour given a specific address from photos with a specific Zillow link. Unable to produce accurate photos from the Zillow website. View video here.
- Second Test: Uploading images directly to Sora to process with specific address. We also attempted to download images directly from the Zillow site and upload it to Sora. The video mostly went off of the uploaded image and didn’t include any specific features from the address provided. View video here.
- Third Test: Uploading 360 videos. Unfortunately, Sora wasn’t able to properly generate videos given 360 images.
Company Vision
AI could be used to create promotional concept videos given a company’s vision statement. Here’s an example video for Hitachi. The videos produced contain misspellings to differentiate the AI generated videos from human-produced content.
