Hi @craig i did fill in a request from the theta website to submit a plugin to the app store but haven’t got any response from them it has been about 2 weeks now. I went to https://www8.webcas.net/db/pub/ricoh/thetaplugin/create/input and entered my email address to register for the plugin partner program.
Can you point me to the right direction of where i can get the steps/process to submit a plugin to the Theta App store so users can install the plugin on their camera without having to enable developer mode.
Also, in developer mode, we need to use the vysor app to give the required permissions to the app, so this process won’t be required to be done manually if the plugin is installed from the app store, it will automatically get the requested permissions, right?
Thanks in advance!
I will include this situation in a community feedback report that I send to RICOH.
When I developed my own plugins, I added the permissions to the AndroidManifest.xml.
During use, the person using the plugin didn’t have to go into settings to give permissions to the plugin. It was set automatically. During development, I needed to use Vysor. During production, when downloaded from the store, i didn’t need to set the permissions manually. It was automatically set.

HI @craig thank you for clarifying about the permissions.
As for the plugin submission, I did fill the web form but I did not receive the email you illustrated above providing any url or any such details about the app. That is why I posted this question here as it has been a while since i filled the web form but did not hear back from the ricoh team about the nex steps so I came here looking for help
@craig thank you for pointing me to the right direction.
Apparently I was going to the wrong website. I google Ricoh Theta plugin submission and it took me to the plugin partner registration link and I filled the form there, but this url you sent me is a different one. I have filled in the application.
Thank you for your support Craig.
I uploaded the apk on the 6th of June, so exactly 1 week ago. Not sure if the next step would be that I can directly see the plugin on the store or if there is anything else needed.
