I found this to be a well-written and presented tutorial

The author explains that he finds the features in insta360studio to be lacking motion blur and the graphing capabilities of AE’s keyframes.
The same can be said of Theta+ but it wins for convenience factors.

You can also have a lot of fun with the free koler GoPro VR player

it runs on Linux, Mac and Windows.
This 1 year old Example are a HD THETA S screencast
in the upper left corner on a 2K monitor
with the gopro VR player sett in Little Planet mood
The sound are recorded with a Røde mic on an iPhone
and synced with the video in Camtacia Studio editor later on
