I’ve been waiting for the Jetson Orin Nano developer kit to come out so that I can test the newer versions of Jetpack. On Seed Studio, I see that Jetson Origin Nano 4GB and 8GB models are available for backorder as part of their reComputer product line. Availability is May 16, 2023.
Costs are more than I want to pay. I’m just using this to help test things for the community and don’t get any funding from RICOH for this type of equipment.
- reComputer J3010-Edge AI Device with NVIDIA Jetson Orin™ Nano 4GB module, $499.
- reComputer J3011 is a hand-size edge AI box built with Jetson Orin™ Nano 8GB module $599
Of the two units, the 8GB model looks more attractive.
I currently use a Jetson Nano 4GB model and the unit is too slow to adequately process 4K video from the RICOH THETA. I don’t know if the Orin Nano 8GB model can process the THETA video with deep learning inference at 4K, but it looks better.
