sorry to say this, but my personal opinion is that it would help business adoption if the mobile app SDK worked with the SC2. Unfortunately seems to be problems with both the iOS and Android versions of the SDK right now.
Developers don’t need to use the SDK and can incorporate the camera API into their own mobile app that they build without the SDK. Also, as of February 5, 2020, the API documentation is not updated for the SC2.
Even if the business wants to build their own app, it would help with their evaluation if the SDK worked with the SC2.
The RICOH THETA V is currently $376 on Amazon.com. The SC2 is $299. I’m curious about the cost of the SC2 for business.
If demand picks up for the SC2 for business use and by developers, we should spend more time looking into the problems with the SDK.
