Hi all,
I was unaware when purchasing my Theta Z1 that it was basically tied to a lightroom subscription to edit and stitching raw files, I refuse to use lightroom or any adobe subscription software but do still use my standalone light room 6.xx.
My question is, is there a stand-alone version of theta stitcher for the pc? If not why not?

There’s additional information on PTGui here:
If you don’t have Adobe Lightroom, you can use darktable and GIMP on Linux or Windows/Mac to load and edit the DNG file from the THETA Z1. After light and color editing, you can stitch the images with PTGui on Windows/Mac. From version 11.13, PTGui includes a template for the RICOH THETA Z1.

If you don’t want to use Lightroom, you can use GIMP and darktable with PTGui.
PTGui is commercial software, but you can test it with the trial. The trial has watermarks, but it is good enough to test it.
