- The login specification has been changed so that the login status is maintained even in offline environments. This enables remote shooting, image viewing, downloading, etc. while offline.
unfortunately this does NOT solve the forced registration and required login problem, the app cannot get past the login screen and camera cannot be controlled unless the user is registered and logged in which is unacceptable for many professional use cases for many reasons as explained in great detail elsewhere 
to be very blunt here, the reality of this situation is that Ricoh needs to add a simple “Skip Login” option to solve this problem, or users who cannot work with this limitation will choose another brand of camera which they can work with
