Haven't touched my Z1 in a while. Lots of issues now.

I apologize if this isn’t the right community to reach out to. There seem to be lots of knowledgable people here so I’m hoping someone can help.

I have a Ricoh Theta Z1 that used to work beautifully with the Theta and Matterport apps on my iPad. A few years later, I am having lots of issues getting everything working. The camera’s wifi appears to be on. I was able to connect to my iPad and update the firmware. Now, even if I manually connect the iPad to the camera’s wifi network, the Theta app is unresponsive once it connects to the camera. The app is completely frozen.

I have also tried this on my Android phone with no luck.

I’m not exactly sure what the problem is. It all used to work fine. Now it doesn’t work at all. Very frustrating!

have you updated your Z1 firmware to the latest version?

You can update the firmware with this PC or Mac desktop software and a USB cable.

also, make sure the app on your iPad is up to date.
