Hi. I just tried to enter my theta s with the old ios App (iphone 16 pro with iOS 18.1.1). It told me to use the new app.
But in the new app is no theta s only SC2 (with theta Z you can connect- but it does not work). Now i tried old and new app. All things failed. Is the camera scrap ?
Is it possible to access the camera on windows or ubuntu pc to reset or to delete images, before i will sell or dispose ? Thanks from Germany.
Can you connect to the THETA S with the WiFi settings of your mobile phone? If so, does the old app work?
You can plug the THETA S into your desktop computer with a USB cable and delete the photos.
You should also be able to use the basic app on Windows to upgrade the firmware of the S. The firmware upgrade may help.
With RICOH THETA S firmware 1.62 or later, it should conform to OSC v2.0 API.

@larssp Also, if you need to reset the password, you can press and hold the Wi-Fi button to reset to default password.

Hi. I am able to connect via password noticed on theta camera to her wifi network.
Later I tried my old iphone X with latest iOS 17.X and the old Theta App - it worked.
So - perhaps - i have to wait until the new app supports the Theta S (and iOS 18.X).
