"Time Shift" Shooting Poor Image Quality (Theta X)

I recently purchased a Theta X and when using “Time Shift” shooting, the image quality from one of the shots is usually, but not always, terrible (see sample image

). I find that the quality issue is most pronounced in dimly lit indoor scenes, and is nearly undetectable outdoors in sunlight (but detectable nonetheless upon close scrutiny). Am I the only one experiencing this? Ricoh technical support told me I am the only one reporting this and to exchange the camera and now I am on the third camera, and the problem persists. I experience this with the original factory firmware, the updated version 1.30.0, as well as the newest version 1.40.0. When shooting in “Normal Shooting” the camera works fine (both stitched images are fine).
